Synopsis:

Arthur is a 16-year-old boy with mental and physical development problems. He appears to be a little slow mentally. He grew up with best friends Megan and Haley who live next door to him. The three of them are freshmen in high school. The girls are hoping to blossom socially. Megan and Haley get hooked up with some older teens who eventually invite them to a wild and out of control party. When Skinner, the unruly host of the party, gets high on drugs and beer things start to go awry. Paranoia and fear mixed with drugs and beer lead Skinner to pull a gun. Then Arthur, The Unusual Hero, comes in and saves the day in a very unusual heroic and spiritual way.

ARTHUR
Drugs are bad. You're not suppose to have drugs at school.
SKINNER
Is that so?
ARTHUR
Uh huh. Principle Green would not be happy.
(Skinner moves near Arthur.)
SKINNER
Well principal Green isn't going to find out is he? Because you're not going to tell him, are you.
(Arthur looks down, nervous.)
ARTHUR
I can't tell a lie. It’s one of the Ten Commandments.
SKINNER
You're not telling a lie because Mr. Green isn't going to ask you. Just don't tell him anything.
ARTHUR
Mr. Green don't like drugs because they're bad. I have to tell him.
SKINNER
No your not. And you know why you're not going to tell Mr. Green?
(Arthur shakes his head.)
SKINNER (CONT'D)
Because if you do...
(SKINNER pulls a knife from his pocket and flips the blade open. He holds it near Arthur's face.)
SKINNER (CONT'D)
If you do, I'll cut your tongue out the next time I see you and you won't ever be able to talk again? Do you want that to happen?
(Arthur backs up, afraid.)
SKINNER (CONT'D)
Do you?! Do you want me to cut your tongue out ya retard?!
(Arthur says nothing. He is very afraid as Skinner pushes him up against the wall moves the blade close to his face.)
SKINNER (CONT'D)
Or maybe I'll cut the tongues out of your girl friends, Haley and Megan.
ARTHUR
No! Please don't hurt them!
SKINNER
Then you better keep your mouth shut. Do you understand?
(Arthur nods.)
SKINNER (CONT'D)
Good.
(Skinner puts his knife away. He then punches Arthur in the gutt and Arthur crumbles to the floor, coughing, beginning to cry.)
SKINNER (CONT'D)
Let that be a reminder to you.
